IPA reports gains in Internet ad expenditure

The latest Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) Bellwether report reveals that 11.5% of member companies now spend more than 15% of their total advertising budgets on Internet advertising. The 2006 Q3 report states that this proportion has doubled since 2000.

A synopsis of the report can be found by clicking on the post title. The synopsis doesn’t explain what share of budgets is devoted to banner, organic or paid search. However, I suspect that pay per click advertising would represent the largest single area of budgetary growth.
