Google has announced an inititiave to boost small businesses in the UK. The pilot project is aimed at helping 1,500 small businesses in Liverpool that do not have an existing Internet presence.
The story has only just made the national news but was first annouced in August via the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. The pilot involves a number of 1 to 1 consultations with small businesses at events in the Liverpool area. It appears that the project is linked to the Getting British Business Online (GBBO) initiative.
